The NTRCA issues certificates to successful candidates who qualify in the teachers’ registration examination. Persons certified by this body are entitled to apply for teaching positions in non-government education institutions. The SMCs/GBs are appropriate authorities to decide on those applications. An SMC/GB has the right to choose any one from the applicants either ones registered at NTRCA or ones granted salary subvention for being employed before 20 March 2005. NTRCA has no administrative control of any nature over SMCs/GBs.
